Brass Lessons

“O Music! Miraculous art! A blast of thy trumpet and millions rush forward to die; a peal of thy organ and uncounted nations sink down to pray.”

– Benjamin Disraeli

The Brass instruments offer, perhaps, the most triumphant musical sounds that come from an instrument. Whether it is the sound of a trumpet to call on a battalion ready to attack, or the mellow groan of the French horn bemoaning the loss of a well respected community leader, the brass instruments do offer a plethora of musical tones. Brass instruments rely heavily on the player’s ability to blow correctly and effectively into the instrument, conditioning their lips and mouth to withstand the pressure of high notes and longer timeframes of playing. Students can start as early as 7 or 8 years of age, but need to develop good habits of regular playing and practice to become advanced players.

We offer lessons for the following brass instruments:

Trumpet

Trombone

French Horn

Baritone

Tuba
